            Web Page

Modeled by Ed Sumner, The Maryland and West Virginia represents mountain railroading in Eastern West Virginia and Western Maryland in the late 1940's and early 1950's.  Like most railroads in that part of Appalachia, the M&WV features coal and lumber operations. While the Maryland and West Virignia is a "private road" railroad, most of the locomotives and rolling stock are from the partial owner of the M&WV, the Western Maryland Railway.
