Indiana Eastern Gets Grant for Rail Spur
I’m not sure how many others will be interested in this article, but I lived within 10 miles of this ex-C&O line for several years. I’m glad that this company is trying to make this work.

New Fantasy Paint Schemes from Atheran
From Employee Keith Weaver
More “fantasy” locomotives from Athearn. I don’t know if you can call the Rock Island scheme a “fantasy” since the IAIS has a very identical paint style in 1:1 scale. Now do you think the good folks at Athearn ‘copied’ the RI scheme from the IAIS? … very similar (aside from the IAIS reporting marks & number) if you ask me. Either way it’s a sharp looking paint scheme.
I also like the WM & DRGW schemes coming out as well.
Check out the link below for the specs.

Love and the Ohio Central
Sunday was such a nice day that Georgia suggested we go out and take train pictures. I wanted to stay at home and do romantic thoughtful things, I don’t really have any examples, but she wouldn’t have it. So we headed off towards Zanesville and Ohio Central country. We went up past the Tunnel Hill landfill outside New Lexington at Rehoboth where there were a couple of cuts of empty trash cars, but no power or anything. Up at Zanesville there were three units in the yard, GP 30 4218, B23-7 4095, and red SD 40-2 3304. While there I heard another train on the scanner, but wasn’t sure where he was, he had a U131 milepost in his order, the U mileposts are the old wheeling, and also a w, which are panhandle mileposts. SO I figured he must be up at Trinway. By the time I got there they were back at Conesville, so I shot two of the shuttle trains there.
